Well I now am starting to believe that I am actually going to Rome. Last night we watched the Alan Jones programme on Mary MacKillop. Sian didn't like the accent they gave Mary but we learnt a lot about her life and why she will be made a Saint.
While Sian heads to work for the day I am sitting and having a think about everything that is going to happen in the next couple of days. Her room is looking rather messy - Ju's Mum would tell her off if there was so much stuff on the floor.
Still there are other things than clothes to worry about - Sian is taking layers because she doesn't know what the weather will be like. Myself I am small enough to hide in a rain jacket or find a lift in a bag so I am keeping it simple.
There are 24 hours to go before we leave Wellington and I haven't even had my blog photo taken yet. But I know that when the time arrives we excitement and gratefulness both Sian and I will get on the plane ready for a pilgrimage to celebrate the canonisation of Mary with the sisters and a few thousand others.
